Steven is the founder of the vision that has become Team LINEA and the driving force behind its integrated approach to architecture, construction, and building forensics. Steven is one of the first Architects in North Carolina to also hold a General Contractor's license.

With more than 25 years of experience as both a licensed architect and general contractor, Steven operates at the intersection of design vision and real-world execution. He has led projects across residential, multifamily, senior living, and mixed-use environments, bringing a rare ability to see both how buildings are intended to perform—and how they actually perform over time.​

Steven’s work extends beyond design. For over a decade, he has served as a forensic consultant and expert witness, analyzing building failures, construction defects, and professional standard-of-care issues. This dual perspective—designing buildings and investigating why they fail—shapes every project he touches.​

Known for his ability to translate complex design and construction concepts into clear, actionable decisions, Steven thrives working with clients navigating the process for the first time. He sets the big-picture vision, ensuring each project is grounded in performance, durability, and long-term value.
